Family/whanau peer support groups


 

 

PEER SUPPORT GROUPS FOR FAMILIES AND WHĀNAU:

 Supporting Families Nelson offer several peer support groups to families and whanau wanting a safe space to share experiences, information and ideas with other families who have had similar experiences.  The groups are all facilitated by a Family Whanau support worker and are held monthly.  Please contact a support worker listed below, for more information.  

Support group for families and whanau of people who have Bi Polar disorder: Meets in Nelson on the third Thursday of each month.  Please RSVP to Deanne on phone 03 546 6090 ext 2 or deanne@sfnelson.org.nz   

Support group for families and whanau of people who have an eating disorder meets monthly at SF Nelson in Alma House. Please contact Vicky on phone 03 546 6090 ext 1 or support@sfnelson.org.nz  for more information.

Support group for families and whanau of people who have Schizophrenia meets monthly at SF Nelson at Alma House. Please contact Vicky on phone 03 546 6090 ext 1 or support@sfnelson.org.nz for more information.

Support group for Mothers of young people who have a mental illness meets monthly at 11.30am – 1.00pm at the Richmond Recreation Centre.  Contact Deanne 03 546 6090 ext 2 or email  deanne@sfnelson.org.nz
