Guest speaker: Dick Brown, Chairman of Supporting Families New Zealand will present an update to members about the future vision and proposed re-organisation of SFNZ.
Our lovely treasurer Fay is stepping down from the committee this year after 13 years of service to SF Nelson. We are seeking a volunteer to step into the Treasurers role. Supporting Families in Mental Illness Nelson peer support groups offer families and whanau a safe place to share ideas, information and experiences with other family and whanau members who have similar circumstances as yours.
Peer Support Group for those who support someone living with schizophrenia
Peer Support Group for those who support someone living with bipolar disorder
Peer Support Group for those who support someone living with an eating disorder
Nikau House presents Gentle Yoga for mental health
DATES: Tuesdays 10.30am. 8 weeks 19th September to 21st November 2017
Yoga, breath and body awareness practice to support the connection between body and mind. For people with experience of anxiety and depression. No prior yoga experience necessary. Gold coin donation per session appreciated. If you are interested in attending, please ask your key worker to complete a referral.
